When I commuted to work in the past, I had to cut through the downtown area of the city. It took a long time, even though it was only a short distance. But these days, there is an expressway that circles around the outer part of the city. It's been a huge time-saver for my commute.

 

Because the flow of traffic is good, some cars sometimes go over the speed limit. So there are speed cameras here and there, as well as average speed cameras. In those areas, you can't drive any faster than 90 km/h on average.

 

There are also several eco bridges for animals across the expressway. Sometimes, you come across roadkill incidents. Seeing those animals drives home why the eco bridges are needed.

예전에는 출퇴근을 할 때, 시내 한복판을 가로질러 가야 했습니다. 그래서 짧은 거리임에도 불구하고 시간이 많이

소요되었습니다. 그러나 요새는 도심 외곽을 둘러싸고 있는 자동차 전용 도로가 생겨서 출퇴근 시간이 상당히 단축되었습니다.

또한 동물들을 위해 고속 도로를 가로지르는 생태 통로가 여러 개 있습니다. 가끔 도로에서 자동차에 치어 죽은 동물들을 보게 됩니다. 그러한 동물들을 보면 생태 통로가 왜 필요한지 실감하게 됩니다.
