※ whim은 a sudden wish or idea, 즉 ‘갑작스러운 소망이나 생각’이라는 뜻으로, ‘(일시적인) 기분’ 또는 ‘변덕’을 가리킵니다. 변덕스러운 사람을 계획을 세우더라도 그 계획과 무관하게 충동적으로 행동할 가능성이 높겠죠.
따라서 on a whim이라고 하면 ‘충동적으로,’ ‘즉흥적으로’라는 뜻으로 쓰이고 있습니다.

Some domestic airlines are offering flights that take off from Incheon International Airport, circle around a nearby country, and then land again in Incheon. The flights have gotten positive feedback. Flights to see the 2021 New Year's sunrise were sold out in just 5 minutes.
User book tickets the same way they would before, except that they select the same place as the departure point and destination.
