• cut to the chase: 바로 본론으로 들어가다

=straight to the point

 

 

 

#1: 특히 오랜만에 연락하는 사이 I hope (you) 시리즈

1)

• I hope this email finds you well (격식).

• I hope you're doing well.

• I hope you're well.

• I hope all is well.

e.g.)

Hi, Elder Clarke, how are you?

I hope all is well.

It's been a while since I have written you, and I wanted to see how everything has been going.

          

•I hope you're having a great day.

•I hope you're having a productive day/week.

•I hope your day/week started on a good note.

• I hope your day started on a good note.

• I've attached the document we discussed.

 

 

2) 월요일에 연락하는 상황

• I hope you had a great weekend.

• I hope you had a great weekend and a wonderful Monday morning so far.

• I hope you had great long weekend.

• Hope you all had a very nice long weekend.

e.g.)

3) 휴가

4) 농담처럼 가볍게 쓸 수 있는 표현들

• I swear / I promise, this is my last email for the day.

• This is my last slide for the day, I think.

e.g.)

Only two more days until Friday!

Only one more day left in 2003.

 

 

4) Just checking in to see ~~~

• Just checking in to see how things are going on your end.

• Just checking in to see how things are going with [~ 대상].

• Just checking in to see if we're on track to meet the deadline.

• Just checking in to see if you're doing okay.

e.g.)

A: What are you doing?

B: Checking in to see how it's going in Bosnia.

 

 

 

#2: 지인이 오랜만에 내게 연락했을 때 - It's so nice to hear from you.

1)

• So nice to hear from you.

• What a nice surprise!

• It's great to see your name in my inbox.

• I apologize for the late reply.

• Sorry for the late reply.

 

 

2) 추가 표현 + 늦게 답변한 이유:

• I apologize for the delay in my response.

I've been swamped with work and just catching up on emails now.

 

• Sorry for the late reply.

I'm sorry it took me a while to get back to you.

I'm sorry it's been so long since my last email.

I'm sorry it's been so long. I've been so busy.

 

 

 

#3: 알려줘서 고맙다며, 연락 줘서 고맙다며,

1)

• Thanks you for letting me know.

• Thank you for your suggestion/feedback/input.

• Thank you for sharing this information.

 

 

2) 연락 줘서 고맙다며

• Thank you for reaching out (to me)

 

 

3) 단순히 고마운 마음을 표현할 때>

• Thank you for reaching out.

 

 

4) 연락줘서 고마워. 근데…

• Thank you for reaching out about my group.

At this time, we will not need any additional support.

 

 

 

#4: 상대가 답변을 빨리 줬을 때

1)

• Thank you for the quick response.

• Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.

 

 

2) 빠른 작업완료/처리 고마워

• Thank you for the quick turnaround.

• Thank you for being responsive.
