※ 어순 "as/too/so/however/how/this/that + adjective + a/an + noun."
1) as/too/so/however/how + 형용사 + a(n) + 명사
2) 187. adjectives: position after as, how, so, too.
After 'as, how, so, too' and 'this/that' meaning 'so', adjectives go before 'a/an'.

as/how/so/too/this/that + adjective + a/an + noun.

She is 'too polite a person' to refuse.
'How good a pianist' is he?
I couldn't afford 'that big a car'.
It was 'so warm a day' that I could hardly work.
♣ The structure is not possible without a/an.

Those girls are too kind to refuse, (NOT: They are too kind girls to refuse)
3) ■ so와 such의 어순
부정관사 a(n)와 형용사와 함께 쓰여 명사를 수식하는 경우에, 앞에 쓰인 단어에 따라 어순이 달라진다.
so/how/however/as/too + 형용사 + a(n)+ 명사
such/what + a(n) + 형용사 + 명사
e.g.)
It was 【so important an occasion】 that we couldn't miss it.
그것은 너무 중요한 행사여서 놓칠 수 없었다.
He is 【such a great scholar】 that everybody respects him
그는 대단한 학자여서 모든 사람들이 그를 존경한다.
