SYNONYM.  apart from the fact that

: …라는 점만 제외하면, …라는 것 외에는

e.g.)

I didn't tell him anything except that I needed the money. 

난 내가 그 돈이 필요하다는 것 외에는 그에게 아무 말도 안 했다.

 

Our dresses were the same except mine was red.

• The preposition besides means ‘in addition to’:

e.g.)

What other sports do you like besides football?

 

 

• You use except when you mention the only thing that is not included in a statement:

e.g.)

I like all sports except football.

 

 

• You can use apart from with both these meanings:

e.g.)

What other sports do you like apart from football?

I like all sports apart from football.

Making an exception

e.g.)

She wrote all of the songs on the album except for the final track.

Apart from/aside from the final track, all of the songs on the album were written by her.
