I have the perception that farming life is hard work and a great life.

They plant or sow their fields, and then tend to the vegetables for the remainder of the year. 

Everything seems to be done with their intent rather than speed. 

Some examples are fixing, preparing, watering, fertilizing, protecting, and finally harvesting the final product.
